A good QC partner for nucleic acid testing - ZeptoMetrix NATtrol™ Standards

ZeptoMetrix is a supplier of standard products recommended by the FDA. Their NATtrol™ products (molecular quality controls) are the industry's preferred molecular diagnostic test standards and can be used as third-party quality management materials.

NATtrol™ products are purified from microorganisms that have been cultured or isolated from the plasma of infected individuals. In order to allow operators to test confidently, NATtrol™ products are processed on the surface proteins of the active part of the pathogen to make it non-infectious and highly stable, while retaining the complete genome to mimic the clinic situation.

Nowadays, millions of people around the world are tested for infectious diseases every year and are diagnosed based on the test results. In molecular diagnostics, where accuracy is integral, false positives and false negatives in reported results can have a big impact on patients.

In order to avoid the significant impact of false positives and false negatives, Quality Control (QC) is the most important item in the laboratory. "The ultimate goal of quality management is to maintain the quality of the inspection report so that it meets the quality objectives of the laboratory; such as clinical requirements, regulatory requirements, certification requirements, etc."

(by The Association of Laboratory Medicine Republic of China)

ZeptoMetrix held a webinar in early 2022, focusing on the importance and associated risks of performing QC in laboratories, and how to use NATtrol™ products to meet the needs of testing units.

In this webinar, you will be able to learn the following information:

1. The role of QC materials in laboratory testing

2. The advantages of using third-party QC and the risk of lack of QC

3. Ways to gain more confidence in your test results

4. Methods to ensure consistency of test results

There are more exciting content and questions, welcome to the webinar!
